Our fully comprehensive detox program will allow you to feel healthier and more energised than you have in years. 

Fasting
Juice-fasting is the oldest & safest method of removing unwanted weight & toxins.
It helps you to lose weight, cleanse your whole body from skin to organs to cells. And it can help to break negative eating patterns. Low calorie and other ‘fad’ diets usually fail disastrously because they literally starve the body of much needed nutrients, causing even greater biochemical imbalance. Thus, when one can no longer stand to continue the diet because of how heavily the body is craving what is denied, one is usually forced to binge to the point of gaining more weight than was lost, thereby lowering self esteem.

During a juice-fast however, the body releases stored substances, re-synthesises nutrients and eliminates toxins. Additionally, the juices and the vegetable broth, as well as the unprocessed, natural herbal infusions, all add vitamins, minerals & trace elements to the body – keeping the energy up during the fast. Each morning the guests enjoy a mega mineral boost via fresh wheatgrass shots, also omega oil shots, barley grass powder and spoonfulls of organic olive oil. Psyllium husks are taken for cleansing purposes and to prevent you from feeling hungry. Bentonite clay is taken to help absorb toxins from the blood and vital organs ready for elimination.

Intestinal Health
If we fail to remove waste from our houses and our streets, disease will move in and our neighbourhood will suffer. If our bodily waste systems are sluggish or weak, pathogens multiply and can overwhelm the body's defenses, then disease moves in. If our diet is not as healthy as it could be, poorly digested food putrifies in the digestive tract and the colon wall become impacted with decades of rubbery matter. The enema is a time-honoured process that safely removes toxic waste from the bowel. The Ledins Clysmatic deep enema system is used twice daily in the privacy of your own bathroom, allowing you personal autonomy of the cleansing process. It is safe and easy to use, and extremely effective. Warm water with herbal liquid enters the body from a pencil tube and this process helps to flush out mucoid plaque and cleanse the colon walls thereby promoting overall health and vitality..

Pre-Cleanse
At least two weeks before the retreat starts, it is very important that you gradually cut out toxic foods and liquids. We will send you instructions to help you prepare for the retreat. Correct preparation will also help you to maintain and enjoy the benefits long after the retreat has ended.

Health Questionnaire
We will send you a health questionnaireto fill in. This information is completely confidential and is necessary for your consultations with the homeopath and nutritionist.

Hair Sampling
We are introducing Hair Analysis Sampling, to identify any underlying factors that may be contributing to health imbalances.  At the Bionetics laboratory, a few strands of your hair will be scanned by a very sensitive electronic machine, which captures the energy patterns that represent your unique personal data set. It will identify the presence of pathogens and toxins, nutritional deficiencies, and food sensitivities.

To do the test, each guest needs to fill out the application form and send three strands of hair from the back of the head (if this is not possible, you may use hair from another part of the body).  It is very important that the root bulb is attached.  The energy patterns of the hundreds of natural substances, which make up the body and its processes, or can affect them, are stored in the root of your hair. The root bulb is a small waxy deposit attached to the tip of the hair.  The best way to insure you get the root bulb is to use tweezers to remove the hair. Our Naturopath will gauge your results and come up with clear, working solutions. The test takes one week and the cost is approximately £40 (this cost is not included in the Detox retreat price).

Atmosphere
We place great importance on providing an intimate, supportive and healing atmosphere. Kaliyoga is not a purpose built spa.We see ourselves as a home from home retreat where each person is treated as an individual. It is very important to us that each guests feels nurtured, listened to, and properly informed throughout your detox experience. We accept a maximum of 8 people, as this allows us to focus more on individual needs. We place great importance on providing our clients with an intimate, supportive and healing atmosphere. There is also a trip to a traditional Hammam in Granada (hot salt water baths and massage), nurturing country walks, a book & CD library, outdoor hot tub, sauna and aquatherapy sessions designed to stimulate circulation. In the evening the atmosphere is usually jovial, warm and familiar. The group can enjoy informative evening talks around the fire, movies or documentaries on our home cinema before retiring to bed with a hot water bottle and a cup of sleepytime tea. The events of each day are complemented with lots of question and answer sessions so guests feel informed and supported through every aspect of their detox experience. 

Exercise
Yoga posture practice is a powerful tool for detoxing. Whilst every part of your body is envigorated, stretched and toned, your attention is given to your breathing, so that your mind has a complete rest from the usual stream of random thoughts. Through simple physical movement and deep relaxation, a regular yoga practice helps to detox every cell of your body whilst bringing balance to body and mind.There are also lovely country walks with a choice of routes depending on your energy levels.
