Kaliyoga was founded in 2002 by yoga teachers Jonji & Rosie Miles. Our retreat centre in France is open in May and June with a capacity of 15 people. You will be staying in an exclusive, privately owned hamlet and the inclusive cost of each week includes twice daily yoga, meditation, hill walking, delicious vegetarian cuisine. Holistic healing and bodywork sessions are available every afternoon with our team of world-class therapists.
For those who prefer their yoga with a touch of glamour, treat yourself to a week of spring sunshine in an exquisitely restored hilltop hamlet set in the lavender and thyme-scented region of Provençe.
Aside from the abundant charms of the venue and the provençal cuisine, the yoga sessions are the heart and soul of the retreat. Expert yoga tuition is provided by Tashidawa whose many years of study and practice support each participant with understanding and insight that is inspiring and delightful.
Each of the hamlet’s ten cottages has been restored with tasteful and elegant simplicity - everywhere you look you will notice objects of beauty, or works of art, artefacts from the past, secret bowers, and idyllic vistas to Mont Ventoux and beyond. Walking in the fragrant hills offers a dynamic and meditative space in which to experience the natural world.
Entirely secluded from the outside world and as though hewn from a single piece of rock, the 500 year old hamlet is surrounded by lavender fields, green oaks, fig and cypress trees. Walk from your cool, white room through the dry stone streets to the 13 metre swimming pool with its views of the wild hills where classic French movies 'Jean de Florette' and 'Manon des Sources' were filmed. Walk in the footsteps of famous artists and writers too from the 1960s and 70s who sought refuge here and left their mark on this timeless and magical place.
