Yoga & Hill Walking

This retreat combines dynamic yoga and hill walking with Kaliyoga's signature gourmet vegetarian cuisine, world class therapists & gorgeous surroundings. 

During this week you will have 2 full days of hill walking in the beautiful landscape of the Alpujarra region with its waterfalls, gorges, moorish villages & shaded valleys. In the evening when you return there is restorative yoga and then supper.

The other days include yoga sessions (2 hours in the morning and 1.5 hours in the evening), with plenty of time for therapies, rest and relaxation in between. On Wednesday afternoon there is free for you to walk in the beautiful valley close to us, or choose one of the optional excursions/activities on offer (for example  horse riding, a trip to the beach, Alhambra palace in Granada). Or you may simply choose to relax and unwind at the retreat.

This region is one of the finest walking areas in Europe and has been certified by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve'. Kaliyoga is in view of the highest mountain in mainland Spain at 3412 m.

In June the temperatures begin to soar and the schedule will be adapted to the season to ensure your comfort and wellbeing. 

Yoga

Dynamic yoga is a flowing system of hatha yoga vinyasa, invigorating and also deeply relaxing. We provide you with expert tuition that is perfect for beginners as well as experienced practitioners. 

Walking

The walking is for anyone who has a reasonably active lifestyle and enjoys walking. You'll be walking for 2-3 hours per day on undulating terrain ranging from reasonably challenging gradients to moderately easy up and downhill. You don't need to be an athlete and there are some paved sections as well. The hikes are not suitable for people with high blood pressure, with reduced mobility, or recovering from recent surgery.

Nurture

To ease your muscles you can choose from a broad range of holistic healing therapies every afternoon.

An evening meal is available for participants of the cookery workshop (subject to availability),
